Healing grounded in care for the whole person

I have been in private practice since 2001, working with a wide range of individuals — adults, adolescents, couples, and people from many different cultural and personal backgrounds. My work spans depression, anxiety, trauma, relationship difficulties, and much more.

I bring to every session not only formal clinical training but a life shaped by genuine curiosity about people. After Cornell, I spent three years in the Peace Corps in the Philippines, and extended time in Japan, China, and Taiwan — experiences that continue to inform how I understand and connect with the diverse range of people I work with.

I am clear about this: good therapy depends on the quality of the relationship. My job is to understand you — your history, your culture, your values, your particular way of being in the world — and to work from there.

Integrative approach: psychodynamic, cognitive, relational & mindfulness- based

“You don’t have to be in crisis to benefit from therapy. Sometimes you just need a trusted space to think clearly again.”

A flexible, integrative toolkit

No single approach fits every person. I draw on a range of evidence-based methods, woven together in whatever way best serves you.

Psychodynamic Therapy
Explores how past experiences and unconscious patterns shape your present emotions, relationships, and choices — addressing the roots of difficulties rather than just their surface expressions.
Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT)
Identifies and reshapes the thought patterns and behaviors that sustain anxiety, depression, or distress — practical and evidence- based, with skills you can use outside of sessions.
Mindfulness- Based Approaches
Develops present- moment awareness to reduce reactivity, manage stress, and build a different relationship with difficult thoughts and feelings —without suppressing them.
Relational Therapy
Uses the therapeutic relationship itself as a lens for understanding how you connect with others — and as a context for experiencing and building healthier relational patterns.
